Bride’s Speech Sample and Guide

Word Count: 512
Most of the wedding etiquette sources reiterate how it’s not customary for a bride to have a speech on her wedding day. It’s also presumed that the groom should stand up and deliver love quotes on the behalf of both himself and the bride. However, I think that if a bride is comfortable with speaking in front of the guests and has something cherishing to say.if you want to do it, there shouldn’t be any hesitation, because a wedding speech can provide you a perfect opportunity to acknowledge how grateful you are for the wedding. However, you have to be careful with how much you are going to speak and what it’s going to be about. There are tons of other people who have to say their part, make sure you are precise. Here is a sample that you can tweak and write your own wedding speech. Keep tabs on the tips that I will be talking about for the rest of the read.

[Tip: Save the best for the last, your wedding speech doesn’t necessarily need to be hilarious, just speak out your state of mind, but don’t chicken out]

“Seeing everyone speaking kind and beautiful words on our behalf, I feel it’s a perfect time for me to tell how I feel about it. Mom and Dad, what I can say? You are the reason for the person I am today. I can’t tell how much I love you for all your hard work in raising me, I love you the most.

I would also like to thank my gorgeous and lovely bridesmaids— you all look stunning. And thank you for dragging my new husband to the altar. I hope, I am just joking.

Most of all, I want to use these moments to tell my new husband/wife, how much it means to be your wife. You came into my life and everything changed, entirely. Ibecame happier than ever; you were the reason I used to get up from my bed during all those tough days when I wasn’t feeling great. I look at your face, and I see a content man with glistering eyes; I see happiness, and I can feel, how much it truly means for you to see me standing here. I pray for your health, long and healthy life, as I want to grow old with you. I guess you know that already from where I am standing.

Lastly, I want to thank each one of you to be part of this day that means everything to me. You are the reason why this wedding looks perfect. You all have made our day even more special. Please raise your glasses and drink a toast”.

[Tip: Write your speech and speak out your heart, the tone you use doesn’t matter, as long as it suits you. Even if you want to deliver a hilarious speech, apportion some part to be thankful to everyone. When you come down to the talk about the groom, you can also share some of any anecdote that may cheer up the guests]
