Good evening, everyone!
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Nicole, Mei’s close friend and honored bridesmaid. Tonight, I stand here filled with happiness as we celebrate the marriage of Mei and Li.
Mei and I have been friends for as long as I can remember. We’ve shared so many special moments—from growing up together, staying up late chatting about our dreams, to the endless hours of tea and laughter. She has always been someone with a kind heart, a thoughtful soul, and a strength that amazes everyone around her. I’ve seen her grow into the incredible woman she is today, and nothing makes me prouder than standing here to witness her find someone as wonderful as Li.
When Mei first told me about Li, I could see something had changed in her. She had this look in her eyes—this lightness, this excitement that wasn’t there before. Then, when I met Li, it all made sense. You see, Li has this calmness about him that perfectly balances Mei’s energy. He’s thoughtful, patient, and the way he cares for her is simply beautiful. It’s like watching two halves of a perfect puzzle come together.
In Chinese culture, we have a saying: “百年好合,” which means “a harmonious union for one hundred years.” Mei and Li, your relationship embodies this sentiment. You have built a foundation of respect, trust, and love that is truly inspiring. Whether it’s the way you support each other through challenges or the way you laugh together in joyful moments, you have proven that your bond is unbreakable.
As we all know, marriage is not just about two people—it’s about two families coming together, and today is a beautiful reminder of that. Mei, you’ve always been like a sister to me, and seeing how Li has embraced you with such love and care warms my heart. Li, thank you for not just loving Mei, but for welcoming all of us into your life with open arms.
Now, as bridesmaids, we are often expected to offer a bit of advice, but honestly, you two don’t need much of it. You’ve already figured out the most important part—how to be each other’s support, how to communicate with understanding, and how to cherish the little moments. If I could offer just one thing, it would be this: always make time for each other, no matter how busy life gets. Whether it’s sharing a simple meal together or taking a quiet walk, those little moments will become the memories that sustain your love through the years.
So, let’s all raise our glasses to Mei and Li. May your marriage be filled with joy, laughter, and endless blessings. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness and harmony, a union that grows stronger with every passing day.
To Mei and Li—cheers!
